Nobunaga no Chef
信長のシェフ
A dazed young man is roused by a stranger, and the two quickly realize they are stranded in 16th-century Japan during the Warring States Period. The other man tends to his injuries, but they are soon found by militia soldiers, suspected as spies, and chased. When his friend is struck by an arrow and falls before his eyes, the dying man urges him—Ken—to survive and return to the Heisei Era they came from. Ken escapes and is taken in by Natsu, a kind metalworker, who agrees to shelter him. The young man discovers that although he has no memory of his past or identity, he retains the cooking skills and knowledge from his former life. Moreover, he recalls fragments of the turbulent Warring States Period and certain historical events yet to unfold. While staying with Natsu, the chef quickly becomes the talk of the town and soon draws the attention of a major historical figure: Oda Nobunaga. As the legends describe, Nobunaga is bold, ruthless, and intimidating. Brooking no opposition, he orders Ken to become his chef. The warlord is immediately impressed by his cooking and promptly puts Ken's culinary talents to use for his political and military ambitions. The young chef gradually earns Nobunaga's trust by preparing exquisite meals that dazzle both allies and enemies, fully leveraging his historical insight and cooking expertise.
