Mimoza no Kokuhaku

Living in a dull suburb, Sakuma finds little joy in his monotonous life except for his closest friend. The brilliant, gifted, and handsome Ushio seems to possess everything Sakuma is missing, and his excellence in both academics and sports makes him the object of affection among the schoolgirls. Past trauma—along with an understandable sense of inferiority—gradually drives them apart, and by the time they start high school, they barely exchange a word. As a result, Sakuma ends up isolated. Against all odds, he eventually makes a new friend in Natsuki, the kindest girl in his class. They quickly bond over their shared passion for novels, and he becomes deeply infatuated with her. But that same evening, while walking through a familiar park, he stumbles upon an unexpected sight: his former friend Ushio, dressed in a full schoolgirl uniform and sobbing uncontrollably.
