In the newly reopened Tsuki no Yu bathhouse, managed by Kanae Sekiguchi, shadows loom over the joy of its revival. Four months prior, her husband, Satoru, disappeared without a trace while on a business trip. Kanae struggles with two possibilities: a tragic accident or a hidden affair, with her instincts favoring the latter. To aid Kanae in running the bathhouse, the Public Baths Union appoints Mr. Hori as her assistant. As she handles the day-to-day operations, a series of appointments begins to unravel clues about the mysterious circumstances of Satoru's vanishing.
