Lark stands out because of his red eyes, which resemble those of a Vampire and cause him to be frequently bullied. One day, he meets Setz, a Vampire from a noble family, who treats him kindly rather than with fear or contempt. Their friendship deepens. However, when Lark learns he may have to return to the orphanage, Setz, unwilling to be separated, offers Lark a place in the Vampire world as a solution.

Background

This project began as an amateur manhwa on Naver, but became popular enough that Naver chose to turn it into a professional work. The author and artist changed their pen names—from TieRo to Mirchi and Muchi to Yamchi, respectively—and restarted the series from the beginning, redesigning the artwork and part of the storyline in the process.
