Reesha was born a prince of a strong royal line, but after the war ended, his homeland disappeared. During the first three years of his new life, Reesha attended school alongside children of his family's former vassals, who became his close friends. Once they graduated, however, all of them enlisted in the military. Because of the artificial heart he relies on, Reesha has always been too small to meet the military's height requirement, and he has been rejected for three years in a row. Now nineteen years old, Reesha works as an ordinary plumber in a hot-spring town. To bypass the size regulation, he and his soldier friends sneak into a bathhouse to plead their case directly to the general. That scheme, however, sets off a chain of unforeseen and violent events, finally forcing Reesha to leave his daily life behind and set out in pursuit of his destiny.
