After her mother dies, Honor is left to face a lonely existence. She hides her sorrow from those around her and works hard to keep her mother's restaurant running, but in private she cannot stop crying. One day, a gentle voice asks, "Are you alright?" The voice belongs to Trace, a stranger whose caring gaze and soft touch bring her comfort. Honor quickly becomes intensely attached to him—until she learns what he is really after.
