In the Midorigaoka Film Club, the tense dynamic between the arrogant president, Jin Kikuchihara, and the talented second-year director, Giichi Ichikawa, is well known. Their frequent disputes over filmmaking lead to heated confrontations in front of other club members. As Kikuchihara nears his final year, he must decide on a successor for the club presidency, with Ichikawa being the leading candidate despite their ongoing conflicts. The situation becomes more complicated when Ichikawa, due to unforeseen circumstances, moves into Kikuchihara's dormitory. Although Ichikawa's stay is temporary, Kikuchihara feels the strain of living with someone he often argues with. He notices a stark contrast between Ichikawa's public demeanor and his private one, leaving Kikuchihara confused about Ichikawa's true character. As he tries to determine which side of Ichikawa is authentic, Kikuchihara also begins to grapple with potential romantic feelings toward his roommate.
