In "Hanasaki Sentimental," Sasaya Kae eagerly awaits the coming of spring. On a particularly snowy day at school, she meets Niina Yuito, a boy whose gaze mirrors her own yearning. Kae attempts to draw closer to him but learns that Yuito harbors a fear of physical contact with girls. Despite this obstacle, Kae proposes that they become boyfriend and girlfriend. The biggest surprise comes when she discovers a girl named Kataoka, who can easily touch Yuito and whom he calls "special."
