In an attempt to prove the existence of "love" to invading aliens, humanity is given a challenge: if a selected human cannot make 100 friends, the entire species will be annihilated. Naoyuki Kashiwa is chosen as the Earth's representative but finds himself transported to the 1980s, where he must complete this task to demonstrate the power of love.
