In the story, Nikusuke, a physical education teacher, finds a document describing the "Dark Rhythmic Gymnastics Project," a competition focused on provocative performances. Following the project's guidelines, Nikusuke works with Tomomi, the granddaughter of the school board chairman, to recruit participants. They first attempt to enlist Miku, whom Tomomi tricks by luring her out at night under false pretenses.
