In Legendia, fourteen years after the violent turmoil that split the continent's largest nation, Atlantia, into pieces, the story begins. The main character, Tatewaki Tsurugi, is an energetic young man raised in the rough neighboring region of Pacifis, completely unaware that he originally came from Atlantia. Everything changes when he discovers the Shining Sword, setting off an epic adventure. A dark army is hunting the twelve Sword Braves, and Tsurugi becomes their target. At a critical moment, Bringer—a Card Battle Droid tasked with protecting Tsurugi—intervenes. Under Bringer's instruction, Tsurugi masters the art of Battle Spirits combat. Alongside the other Sword Braves, he takes up arms against the forces of darkness, wielding his Key Spirit, Shining Dragon.
