This is a historical romance with great tourde-force drawing technique, depicting the world of Ancient Rome 2,000 years ago, lived by the natural historian Pliny the Elder who historically existed. Pliny and his party are travelling to complete the "Natural History," an encyclopedia that covers all natural phenomena, from volcanic eruptions to the ecologies of fauna and flora. This story recreates their journey northwards through the Roman Empire as they observed earthquakes and tsunamis.

Background

Plinivs has been licensed in Spanish by Ponent Mon. The first volume is set to be released in Summer 2016. The series won Grand Prize at the 28th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize awards in 2024.
