Misaki Saiki, a young woman burdened by her history, works as a professional dominatrix at an exclusive S&M club in Tokyo, though she dislikes both the job and the money it provides. Since childhood, she has possessed the ability to speak with spirits, a gift she employs for the Livelihood Protection Agency. There, she pairs with Souichirou Kadotake, a martial artist who has a strong fear of ghosts, assisting unsettled souls in settling their unresolved matters and moving into the afterlife. Adding to Misaki's distinctiveness is the fact that she is both an albino and a virgin.
