Sakuraba Taiko has loved ballet since childhood. Her mother also once danced, but gave it up to follow a more conventional life. Because of that, she wholeheartedly supported Taiko's passion for ballet. Taiko's world was shattered when her mother died in a car accident, yet she continued dancing—though her heart was no longer truly in it. Her remaining family and childhood friends stand by her as she pursues her dream of becoming a celebrated dancer. Her latest role is Myrta, the queen of the Wilis, in the ballet "Giselle"—the spirits of young, innocent women who died before their wedding day.
