During the initial phase of Mars colonization, when the planet was populated solely by laborers, Dr. Matoi and her team relocated to that remote world to study how the Martian environment affects the human mind. Among the colonists, some report experiencing strange, recurring dreams and claim to suffer from unusual afflictions. After arriving, the doctor herself begins to exhibit these symptoms, frequently dreaming of herself inside a peculiar library. Only a random incident will lead her to uncover the source of these disturbances—or, perhaps, to lose her grip on reality entirely.
