Ryuuji Takasu has a face that makes him look like a thug, but he's actually a kind person. Having an unintentionally scary appearance makes it hard to make friends—and finding a girlfriend is nearly impossible. Still, with his secret crush in his class, his second year of high school starts off well...until he encounters Aisaka Taiga. Gorgeous, intimidating, and under five feet tall, the student known as the Palmtop Tiger is the only person at school more terrifying than Ryuuji—and he's just made the error of infuriating her greatly.

Background

In Kadokawa Shoten's first Light Novel Award contest held in 2007, Toradora! won an award in the romantic-comedy category. The series was published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment under the Airship imprint from May 8, 2018, to August 4, 2020. It was also released in Polish by Studio JG as 2-in-1 omnibus volumes from August 25, 2016, to July 20, 2020; and in Brazilian Portuguese by NewPOP Editora from July 6, 2018, to May 13, 2021.
