In "Citrus," Yuzu Aihara is a fashion-focused teen who cares about her appearance and social life, despite never having experienced a kiss or a romantic relationship. Her life is turned upside down when her mother remarries, forcing her to transfer to a strict all-girls school that bans makeup, jewelry, and cell phones. On her first day, Yuzu breaks the dress code by wearing what she wants, only to get publicly scolded by student council president Mei Aihara, a girl who is the complete opposite of Yuzu in every way. Things get more complicated when Yuzu discovers that Mei is her new step-sister. Mei, annoyed by Yuzu's rebellious behavior, kisses her to prove a point. But Yuzu is surprised to find that she actually enjoys the kiss and cannot stop thinking about it.
