Kippei Katakura spends his days as a high school playboy, chasing after any girl he can, though his true affections lie with one girl in particular—Kokoro Tokunaga. One day, Kippei's family introduces him to his five-year-old cousin, Yuzuru Sakashita, whose mother has abandoned her. Kippei is tasked with taking care of Yuzuru until her mother returns, and the young girl quickly becomes attached to him. Through Yuzuru's influence and the deep bond that develops between them, Kippei learns not only how to care for a child, but also how to form meaningful relationships.
