Michiru is a high school boy who struggles with both sports and social interaction. He often finds himself watching his classmate Haruka during her swimming practice. Haruka is the sole member of the school's swimming club, and while she and her coach search for new members, she notices Michiru watching and innocently assumes he's interested in joining because he wants to swim. Unable to refuse her invitation, Michiru joins the club despite never having swum before and having no knowledge of how to do it. As Haruka patiently teaches him, Michiru’s life begins to change.
