What initially seem like unrelated events—from a quiet Italian village in the early 1700s to a modern luxury cruise crossing the Pacific—slowly unfold to reveal a much deeper connection than anyone imagined.

Touko understands Shiki's sense of alienation but considers the current Shiki an entirely new personality. This story takes place in the same universe as Tsukihime, another TYPE-MOON work. Touko Aozaki, sister of Aoko Aozaki, plays a key role here, and the protagonist Shiki Ryougi shares abilities with Tsukihime's main character, Shiki Tohno.
