Erika Klause enrolls at Rosenstolz Academy with the goal of locating her long-missing brother, whom she cannot recall but holds a ribbon as a keepsake to reunite with him. Soon after arriving, she befriends three new female students and gets chosen as one of the five candidates for the role of Strahl (royal scholar). With many classmates fond of gossiping, how will her quest to find her brother unfold? Furthermore, what will become of her ties with Orpherus, Eduard, Naoji, Ludwig, and Camus, now that she has been selected as a Strahl secretary?
