In the world of Rozen Maiden, the solitary Jun Sakurada originally chose to activate the sentient Rozen Maiden doll Shinku and assist her in the Alice Game, a contest among the dolls. However, this synopsis explores an alternate timeline where Jun did not wind her up, leading to a vastly different life path.
In this alternate reality, Jun is now a college student who continues to struggle with the lingering effects of his hikikomori phase, maintaining a somber demeanor. While working part-time at a bookstore, he discovers a series of weekly publications titled "How to Make a Girl," which includes a key component—a spring—to animate a doll. Upon returning home one evening, he finds the next installment of the series along with a doll case and parts necessary to create the fifth Rozen Maiden, Shinku. Despite assembling most of the components, the books abruptly stop arriving, and Jun receives a letter informing him of the series' discontinuation. The letter also reveals that to obtain the remaining doll parts, he must venture into the mysterious N-Field.
Complicating matters further, Jun begins receiving emails from his younger self, urging him to intervene in the battle against the malevolent seventh doll, Kirakishou. Armed with an unfinished doll, Jun sets off toward the N-Field, unaware of the impending events that await him.
