Tsukasa Akeuraji never intended to become an ice dancer when he entered the world of figure skating, but that is where he ended up after being told he "started too late" to pursue his original dream of solo skating. For years, he settled for being a shadow of his former aspirations—until he encountered a little girl who reminded him of himself. Inori Yuitsuka, a fifth-grader so eager to skate that she practiced in secret, came to Tsukasa's rink with her mother seeking lessons. Everyone around her dismissed her as hopeless, insisting it was "too late" for her to start and that she could never catch up to other skaters. Filled with renewed determination and unwilling to let another passionate skater repeat his own mistakes, Tsukasa takes on the role of her coach and vows to turn Inori into a medalist.
