Aoi Haru

Set in a boy's high school, this dark and intense drama follows Kujo as he becomes the official leader of a gang. Kujo must constantly defend his position by playing a dangerous rooftop game against the other boys who are vying for his place. The manga has also been adapted into a film that has shown at various festivals around the world.

Background

Aoi Haru was published in English as Blue Spring by VIZ Media under the VIZ Signature imprint on November 24, 2004. The manga was adapted to film in 2002 by director Toshiaki Toyoda, and released in Japan on June 29th of that year, under the same title.
