Akito Hayama, the notorious God Hand, specializes in stealing priceless artworks, which turn out to be replicas crafted by his vanished mother. Upon falling into the hands of an underground art dealer, Akito discovers the circumstances surrounding his mother’s absence. To secure his freedom, a newfound ability named "Kannade" emerges within him, alongside a quest to track down his mother's creations and unravel the deeper purpose of Kannade.
