At twenty-five, Aki Terada works part-time and has trouble finding a stable job. After catching her boyfriend cheating, she chooses to move in with Tomoya Hongyou, an old junior high classmate who was also her first love. For the past two years, Tomoya has been dealing with a serious affliction that leaves him incapacitated. However, when he suddenly responds to Aki’s presence, he begs her to help him get better.
