Following their final battle with the Demon King, the four heroes begin their journey home. The talkative mage of the group, Nina, leads the way toward Pocca, the hometown of the other heroes. Along the road, she reflects on her past as a stray orphan and the family she discovered in the hero and his two companions. Yet beneath the surface warmth of their travels, unease creeps into Nina's mind as she considers how the villagers will react to their long-awaited return. After all, the news she carries might not be what they want to hear.
