Kiyotake leads a rather aimless existence without significant accomplishments. He acts in minor background roles and holds several part-time jobs to make ends meet. His social circle is limited; his closest friend, Shun, passed away in an accident at nineteen, leaving him with only a few superficial connections. His life starts to shift when an old acquaintance moves into the neighboring apartment.
