In a city that had known peace for more than thirty years after the battles of Brave Raideen against the Demon Empire and the conflicts involving Combattler V, Voltes V, and Daimos, tranquility is suddenly broken by the unexpected appearance of two Gante, colossal stone demons. Akira Saezuri, an eighth-grade student, hears a mysterious voice and is chosen as the new pilot of Reideen. She frees Akira Hibiki, who had been imprisoned for 35 years, and teams up with Combattler V, Voltes V, and Daimos to fight the evil forces commanded by Mari Sakurano, now possessed by Barao, as well as Prince Sharkin, Great General Garuda, Prince Heinel, and Richter. During the conflict, Prince Sharkin discovers that Akira Saezuri is the daughter of his beloved younger brother.

Background

God Bird was written for the 35th anniversary of "Yusha Raideen." The series was serialized in two parts: the first in Comic Rush from issues 2010-07 to 2011-12, and the second in Web Comic Rush from issues 2012-05 to 2014-04.
