The narrative kicks off in a haze of regret, turmoil, and desperation. Sora resides with his little sister Ann and their rather eccentric father. Ann serves as the lead vocalist for her school's choir, while Sora possesses remarkable culinary talent. For her upcoming school performance, he crafts a "honki" (serious) bento box just for her. As Ann launches into her solo, an unexplained phenomenon tears a hole in reality, causing her form to dissolve in front of the crowd. Sora rushes to rescue her but is pulled into the same eerie ceremony. The two are whisked away to a surreal realm dominated by colossal mushrooms, with their future hanging in the balance.
