The goddess Venus grows jealous of the beautiful human girl Psyche and blames her pet unicorn, Unico, for being the source of Psyche's good fortune. Venus orders Unico banished, and from then on his fate is to endlessly travel from one era and location to the next alongside the West Wind. Unico is a small unicorn with the power to bring happiness to everyone he meets. Naturally, this displeases the gods, so they dispatch the West Wind to carry Unico away to a place where he will never be seen again. However, the West Wind cannot bring herself to do it because she cares too much for Unico, and instead leaves him on a remote island. From there, Unico's adventures and journeys begin.

Background

Unico was published in English as a single omnibus volume by Digital Manga Publishing on April 23, 2013. It has also been published in French by Soleil.
