In "Shinitagari to Hibari," a ronin named Kuchiki lives with a young girl, Hibari. Having lost her family, Hibari finds solace in Kuchiki's tender care, gradually regaining her smile and inner resilience. However, a casual remark from a boy named Matsunosuke, whose mother was also killed in a fire, awakens in Hibari recollections of her father’s former wrongdoings. Will these two individuals, each weighed down by their pasts, find a purpose to carry them into the future? Set against the backdrop of historic Edo, this story explores the intertwining threads of empathy and profound human emotion.
