Bi-Kwang is a good-looking young fighter who turns into a drooling fool whenever he sees an attractive woman. While traveling, he meets a nameless, extraordinary swordfighter searching for a legendary master warrior. Bi-Kwang offers to help the swordfighter in exchange for meeting his beautiful sister. As it turns out, the swordfighter is the sister herself—Hwa-Rin Dahm—and she must keep switching identities to move the story forward. Bi-Kwang falls for her instantly, creating a love triangle that involves only two people. The story is set in a world where each faction seeks to unify the Murim. Amid this, Bi-Kwang—who has a natural gift for learning martial arts but wants nothing to do with it—strikes a deal: he will escort Hwa-Rin to see her grandfather, the last person to see him before he vanished. Along the way, he faces many enemies and occasionally encounters friends who reappear from time to time. Through these experiences, Bi-Kwang matures as he understands why martial arts matter and realizes he has been using them the wrong way.
