During the last days of the school term, quiet 14-year-old junior high student Ichika Tachibana is assigned to clean an abandoned school building rumored to be haunted by a ghost in a cracked mirror. Despite the superstition, Ichika goes inside and notices an unfamiliar reflection in the mirror. Later, while retrieving her dropped phone, she discovers a girl named Manatsu Kuroki, who wears pigtails and a flowing dress, standing where her reflection should have been. When Ichika reclaims her phone, one of the gemstones on her charm begins to glow, transforming her attire and granting her the ability to fly toward a creature known as a Djinn. Manatsu then proposes that Ichika spend her summer holidays summoning various Djinn using the charm and documenting these encounters. Little does Ichika know that this chance meeting with Manatsu will set off a summer filled with unforgettable adventures.
