Akame ga Kill!
アカメが斬る!
Minister Honest, a ruthless figure, exploits the inexperience of a new young Emperor and secretly rules the country with twisted morals and utter disregard for human life. As a result, the capital city is plagued by crime and corruption, creating a society where the privileged hold absolute power over the less fortunate. To fight this rampant abuse of power, an organization exists: Night Raid, a secret unit of the opposing Revolutionary Army. It consists of a small team of cold-blooded assassins who eliminate anyone who participates in or ignores the Empire's heinous crimes. Tatsumi is a naive young man armed with a sword, traveling to save his impoverished village. Soon, he witnesses the bloody horrors and cruelty of the capital firsthand. Overcome with hatred, Tatsumi is drawn to Night Raid's compelling cause and decides to join them, embarking on a painful and dangerous mission to seek vengeance against Minister Honest. Along the way, Tatsumi gains invaluable experiences as he explores the ethics of conflicting ideologies, life and death, all while working toward restoring a humane world.
