キーリ~死者たちは荒野に眠る~
Kieli: Shisha-tachi wa Kouya ni Nemuru
Created from the remains of dead soldiers, the "Undying" are nearly immortal beings made only to serve as weapons. But after the war concluded, their usefulness ended, and the Church began killing them without mercy in what became known as the Undying Hunt. Eighty years have passed since then; very few Undying remain, and any found alive are pursued and eliminated by the Church. Kieli, an orphan attending a religious boarding school, has a rare gift: she can see spirits. Isolated from her peers, she passes her time conversing with Becca, the ghost of a girl who once lived in Kieli's room. One day, Kieli encounters a distant and mysterious man named Harvey, one of the last surviving Undying. After an unforeseen incident, Harvey saves Kieli from being struck by a train, endangering himself in the process. Wanting to understand Harvey better, Kieli chooses to join him as he attempts to keep a promise made to the Corporal—the spirit of a soldier who died in the war and has since inhabited a radio—to bring his mortal remains back to him. During their travels, Kieli learns that beneath Harvey's seemingly cold exterior lies a gentle and considerate person haunted by the trauma of war. As they interact and grow closer, the two form a bond they will treasure forever, and Harvey may at last rediscover the warmth he once lost.
