Ichino is a high school student who deeply distrusts men because her father betrayed her and ran off with their family's belongings when she was young. This experience made her determined to become strong enough so that no man could ever overpower her again. She also hopes to reunite with a woman she met during a pivotal moment in her childhood. While protecting her friend Miyabi, Ichino mistakenly attacks a boy she thinks is harassing her. Even when she tries to apologize, she ends up injuring him further. As they keep running into each other, more misunderstandings pile up, making her dislike for him and his two friends grow stronger. Ichino believes that encountering someone three times means it's fate. To her shock, on her first day of school, she discovers that those same three boys are now in her class.
