A young Catholic priest, Amakusa Takara, wields sacred abilities to exorcise demons—and occasionally the Devil himself. He is both blessed and cursed with the power to manifest the 'sign of the cross' on his forehead, sending demons back to Hell. However, the process pushes him to the brink of insanity and inflicts severe physical pain. A woman named Shizuha can produce the ancient words of the 'Scripture' across her body, making her a target for demons and cults alike. When her parents join a cult seeking to capture her, she seeks Takara's aid. Shizuha grows drawn to the young priest and wishes to protect him in return.
