In an unremarkable small town lacking much variety, Tete lives a quiet life limited to school, the library, and his modest home. One seemingly normal day, he encounters a homeless girl named Geeta Ronpelti, and the two quickly form a friendship. Geeta discloses that her parents were archaeologists studying a clan said to have the power to revive the dead. When ordered to stop their research, they were killed shortly after Geeta fled. Now alone, Geeta wanders from place to place carrying a mysterious watch given to her by her mother. Believing Tete to be trustworthy, she asks him to keep the watch safe until she returns. Later that night, Tete hears Geeta's voice even though he cannot see her, and soon finds a man carrying her lifeless body. When the man demands Tete give him the watch, an elderly, mysterious figure overpowers the stranger and forces him to flee. Though shaken, Tete decides to follow the old man along with Geeta's corpse, as he might be the key to unraveling this strange mystery.
