Yaya Higuchi loves visual kei music and gothic lolita fashion. When she was young, she dreamed of becoming a famous singer. But now, six days a week, she hides that passion, afraid of being mocked by her classmates or her strict father. Only on Sundays can she freely be herself with other like-minded teens in Harajuku. Even without revealing her secret hobbies, Yaya is treated poorly by Seri and Moe, two mean girls she considers friends. No matter how hard she tries to stay positive, Yaya is painfully aware that no one at school talks to her except for those bullies and a brutally honest male classmate named Moriyama. When a fierce, no-nonsense girl named Nana starts handling Yaya’s problems—getting back at Seri and Moe for their cruel pranks and kicking away predatory men who approach Yaya on the street—it seems too good to be true. Moriyama encounters Nana more than once, and as he sees Yaya in class every day, he slowly begins to suspect that these two very different girls are actually the same person!
