Freelance illustrator Yun-Ook Jang rents out a room in her home to ease her debt burden. Her tenant is Bum-Moo Lee, a high school dropout working only a part-time job. Before learning his real age, Yun-Ook saw him as aloof and enigmatic, and the two constantly bickered. Then she discovers he's just seventeen—still a kid who should be in school. Their dynamic shifts when Bum-Moo asks a risky question: "Do you mind if I like you?"

Forest of Gray City was published in English by Yen Press from February 21, 2007, to August 12, 2008. It was also released in Polish by Yumegari from March 17, 2016, to June 20, 2016.
