One quiet morning in an empty classroom, Saki Momota works up the nerve to confess her love for the very first time—only to be turned down. Trying to conceal her hurt, she makes an excuse to leave and change the water in the flower vase she’s carrying. As she rushes out the door, she spins around and spills the scented water all over Ryuuichi Akai, a frightening-looking student whom everyone is afraid of. Wanting to steer clear of Akai after the incident, Momota nonetheless runs into him while picking up her little brother from kindergarten. It turns out Akai’s niece is both her brother’s classmate and close friend. This encounter allows Momota to see Akai in a different light and discover a way to mend her broken heart.
