Chinyuuki: Tarou to Yukai na Nakama-tachi

The classic tale "Journey to the West" usually follows a monk and three companions on a pilgrimage to atone for their sins. This version takes a different direction. In "Chinyuuki: Tarou to Yukai na Nakama-tachi," a parody of "Journey to the West," the main character is an assassin named Tarou Yamada. Seeking to make amends for his dark past, which includes killing many people and then defecating on their graves, Tarou begins a journey with a monk. When the monk catches Tarou in the act, he places a curse on him, transforming Tarou into a strange monkey-human hybrid. Under the same monk's guidance, Tarou now fights demons and other bizarre beings to regain his original human form.
