Thirty thousand Japanese players of the MMORPG Elder Tales suddenly find themselves trapped inside the game world, which has become their new reality. Cut off from their normal lives, they must face a landscape filled with dangerous monsters, bland food, and the strange fact that they cannot truly die. In the midst of this upheaval, the experienced player Shiroe teams up with his friends—the guardian Naotsugu and the assassin Akatsuki—to set out on a quest to reshape their new world.
