Contexte

Le one-shot Akai Hana a été publié en anglais sous le titre Red Flowers dans le magazine de bande dessinée alternative d'avant-garde RAW, Vol.1 No.7, mai 1985. ont été publiées dans les compilations de Yoshiharu Tsuge chez Drawn & Quarterly, à commencer par The Swamp le 28 avril 2020.
