When she got pregnant, Sophie was abandoned by her husband, so it's understandable if she's wary around men. That's why she doesn't share everyone else's enthusiasm when Gregory Wallace, a businessman from the city, moves into the village where Sophie lives with her daughter. While others welcome this well-mannered man, Sophie keeps her guard up, assuming that that his good looks hide a cold and unfeeling heart.
