Jiro is a young man who was unsatisfied with his life until one day, he obtained the power to freely manipulate the dreams he has each night. Now, everything in his dreams goes just as he desires... Until his world takes a complete about-face when a mysterious person called "the World Doctor" appears in his dream, points to Jiro and tells him, "You're a disease that's ruining the world!" Meanwhile in the real world, a mysterious and beautiful girl named Yumiri Amagami has just transferred into his school. She promptly steals a kiss from his lips and declares, "Starting today, you are my boyfriend!" This strange encounter then leads Jiro - and the rest of the world - to an unexpected fate...
