In the near future, the creation of 3D bio-printers has made it possible to regenerate life from a backup. Engineer Haruichi Sono, who works for the world's most advanced tech company, loses consciousness immediately after receiving a sudden transfer order. When he wakes up after being "restored" from a backup, he has somehow lost his memory of the time immediately prior to his death. He is visited by a mysterious beauty, Uro Tonomori, who claims to be an investigator, and she accuses him of insurance fraud for a large sum of money. At the same time, an unprecedented terrorist attack has somehow locked out everyone's memory backups, and Haruichi becomes unexpectedly wanted as the main suspect. Joining forces with Uro, Haruichi attempts to uncover the truth behind his own death to clear himself of a crime he has no recollection of.
