Résumé

Rivalz Cardemonde, un Cancer de 17 ans au groupe sanguin AB né le 20 juillet, est l’un des proches amis de Lelouch. Il l’emmène souvent en moto, utilisant ces trajets comme enjeu lors de leurs parties d’échecs. Rivalz travaille à temps partiel comme barman et serveur, et nourrit des sentiments non réciproques pour Milly Ashford, particulièrement visibles lorsqu’elle annonce son entretien de mariage. Après avoir rejoint le conseil des élèves à la demande de Lelouch, Rivalz se lie rapidement d’amitié avec Suzaku, une relation mise en avant dans la série principale et dans les bonus exclusifs du DVD. Son nom actuel, Cardemonde, est en réalité le nom de jeune fille de sa mère, qu’il a adopté après le désaccord de ses parents.
