Goblin Isekai Adds Hanae, Shimono & Tamura, Locks Theme Songs for October

Fall 2026's goblin isekai just got a serious voice-actor upgrade. The team behind So What's Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin? (Tensei Goblin dakedo Shitsumon Aru?) rolled out three new cast members on Wednesday, stacking the roster with some of the industry's most familiar names ahead of the October premiere.
Natsuki Hanae steps in as Albert, the human empire's third prince whose "Eighth Time's the Charm" skill once cornered the Demon King. Hiro Shimono voices Izuizu (romanization varies), a tiny dragon that crash-lands in the Goblin Forest. Yukari Tamura takes on Tenchikaibyaku—"Creation of Heaven and Earth"—a cryptic force that lashes out at goblins and humans without hesitation. The leads remain Kikunosuke Toya as reincarnated office worker Akira and Yōko Hikasa as Karen.
Music is locked in too: singer-songwriter Sou handles the opening theme, while four-piece J-rock band AHUB delivers the ending. Series scripts stay with Yūichirō Momose, character designs with Hiroyuki Saita, and direction with Ryūta Kawahara at studio BAKKKA.
Adapted from Nazuna Miki and Tsukasa Araki's Tonari no Young Jump manga (Yen Press in English), the story follows kind-hearted Akira, who dies saving a child and wakes up as a goblin—normally a seven-day lifespan he refuses to accept. With volume 15 due September 17 in Japan, the anime is timed to ride peak goblin momentum into fall.
